Patrick Lavin was born in County Roscommon, Ireland. He immigrated to Canada in 1954 and later moved to the United States where he has lived in California, Maryland and presently Arizona. He is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, and has studied at other institutions of higher learning for career enhancement. Currently retired from a career with the United States Government, Patrick resides in Tucson where he spends his time researching history and writing non-fiction books and articles.
